Sorry to hear you had a bad night, making sure to use different passwords will help but to be honest, I’m pretty sure everyone has had at least one email address and password hacked and it sounds like you did the right thing by changing it so I wouldn’t worry about it too much

Also, be mindful that scammers also like to use Microsoft and Google and use panic messaging like that. Make sure you check where the email came from before you jump up their command. Sometimes if you don't pay attention they will plant fake links that you will click on in a panic and it will be all they need to get your password and stuff. Also, rather than a password, try to use past phrases. It can be the title of one of your favorite books, align from one of your favorite songs. Just something that's like 15 to 18 characters that would be very hard for a password cracker to guess. Phrases are very hard to guess. Also, if you are intentional about putting a capital letter at some random point that only you know, that makes it even harder for hackers to crack your passwords. I'm sure you are fine in this instance, just things to keep in mind moving forward. ☮️

Depends how far you want to go. At a basic level, you should implement unique and randomized passwords for every account easily controlled by a password manager. I would recommend either Bitwarden or Proton Pass. Enable multi-factor authentication wherever you possibly can. And after that, well shoot me a message, and we can talk before this starts to bore everybody else lol.
