Simply put, if you're super paranoid about file size, go with 128KB PS VBR (variable bitrate). Otherwise, 128 or even 320 won't really do much for the average listener except show a difference in file size, unless they're using studio cans along with an audio interface.

Unless I am mistaken, I believe CD quality is 192 bit rate.

@CyberGeek cd quality is not any of the MP3 bit rates as it is uncompressed, so is even better quality than 320kbpsMP3, not that this would be necessary for a podcast,

@tim you’re right. It wasn’t the bit rate metric I was remembering, it’s just generally stated that the 192 bit rate is comparable to CD quality. That’s where my memory went wrong lol.
