To be clear, it absolutely won’t teach you everything, I don’t think anything would, but will likely give you a good foundation

Hey Soph, if you’re open to alternative apps, I would give Language Transfer a look. It is all audio, so can be quite useful for pronunciation and things like that. I have found it really good, and best of all it’s free to download on the regular App Store. Obviously people learn in different ways, and Duolingo might be more your vibe, but thought I would throw this into the mix as well in case it helps.

speaking as a language guy having studied now 5 languages over the years, duolingo is a complete waste of time. study it elsewhere. there are much better ways ! really develop fluency.

I agree with MayCeline, but ultimately it comes down to how much do you want to learn and how quickly? Duo Lingo is a huge slog for very little reward at the end of the day, and it doesn't teach you critical concepts like real life application and how to apply an overarching grammar concept to the things you're learning. It's just slow vocabulary acquisition, and not much more...

I seriously doubt DuoLingo is giving you inaccurate content, but I have very little experience with it. I used it a few days, and found their process of teaching extremely slow.
