And when she was strict with me, teaching me my braille, my family just said she’s pushing you and she always said I’m doing it because I love you and then there was one time I crossed the street wrong and a car almost ran into me and she got scared and she said he wanted to die didn’t you just like my father clearly wanted to die and made it all about him and yelled at me and said I’m going inside, good, bye! And slammed the door in my face

She was great, but she was one of those people who was very strict. She like I’m going to speak firmly to you until you learn how to use your cane right and if you want me to baby you then I guess I will because you never give me a chance to explain anything. The hardest thing was the sarcasm. If I did orientation wrong, she would say it’s me I must be a terrible teacher because I clearly didn’t teach you right and I was the one who got in the way of your education or I was the one who said something wrong and I hope you can forgive me because it was my mouth that uttered those words and I apologize 1 million times because I must be the most terrible teacher in the world and it was like what the heck

Yeah, I had a teacher. His father passed away when I was seven very very sad stuff but she basically said your orientation mobility performance is terrible. You’re acting like a baby in diapers and if my dad could see you from heaven, he would be so disappointed in you. I was eight years old.
