Someone has to have a permit in order to possess a taser in California. I would not use one because aiming is required, and being visually impaired, I wouldn’t trust myself. A stun gun is much easier to use.

Lol something happened with my audio that fucked me up. Anyhow, I have an elite tactical drop point blade, and I also have AA karambat knife. I believe that it’s important especially for blind people to have some sort of self-defense weapon. I’ve had two experiences and woke me up from my ignorance.

In response to Amethist: Yes, the white cane and keys are both functional weapons. In the right hands, just about anything can be used as a weapon. Even for those who don’t have any training, if they are determined to protect themselves or those they love. A brick, a piece of wood, a bluetooth speaker, a drinking straw, a candycane and many other items could be used as a makeshift weapon.

this may sound silly, but if a situation was to arise, I’m going to use whatever I got and two things I never leave home without our my white cane and keys

Nice! Let me know when you find ceramic bladed knife

I never leave home without my SpiderCo knifes, I have a regular blade and a serrated birds beak. The only time I don’t have them is when I go to concerts. I’m looking for a good ceramic blade for when there’s metal detectors. When I know I’m going to be in east Saint Louis or somewhere not so safe, I’ll use my rattan staff as a cane. I also never leave the house without the oldschool weapons AKA my hands and feet.
