struggling to see how that would work. is it not the case that expert witnesses are called in by one side or the other his they can then be subject to cross. not sure a judge would call on an expert since their remit is to focus on that which both sides present. perhaps in Europe where judges take on more of an inquisitorial roll. but it's not my
