How do you treat people who are tough to love? how do you feel about advocacy?

But I am trying to get better. But even within the community for the blind, I don’t block as a first resort, but I just had to leave a conversation very quickly with someone because of another issue and they knew what they were doing. It is hard when boundaries are crossed.
I’m not sure why it didn’t write the other part of the message. I find it hard to advocate around those who show tough love and feel intimidating to me. And I also find it hard to witness advocacy that is aggressive or abrasive. And I have my limits for how and went to advocate.

I believe advocacy work is a great thing. It takes a special person to do that kind of work. I’m not sure what you mean by people who are “tough to love.” I’ve honestly spent many years learning how to love people who are tough to love from a distance… a very far distance. 😂 For me, it depends on what you mean by “tough to love.” Are these people emotionally abusive? Manipulative? Disrespectful? Does drug addiction play a role and lead to behaviors like stealing? Are they troublemakers who triangulate and create conflict between others? I definitely distance myself from people who aren’t able to take accountability for their own actions. Everyone’s situation is different, and I think all of those factors have to be taken into account.
