Text and call, but I don't like being on the phone for hours and hours.

All of the above. I usually start out with text because that's how I'm most comfortable, and then after a little while I progress to voice messages to get a feel for their voice and conversational style, and then finally to calls if it's long distance or in person meetups if it's not. It doesn't always go this way though, it's not a formula that's set in stone. It just depends on the other person and how comfortable they make me feel and what kinds of conversations we're having.

why can't one be all three? lol. I'm a voice message and calling type. the main reason is, and I'll be totally candid, my spelling is crap, and I find typing tedious. also, when you actually talk with someone verses texting, you find out much more about them. the voice can reveal so much about a person. :).

Just depends, I’m more like a voice call/voice note when it comes to sending voice messages when it comes to my partner, but voice calls. I’m OK with it. I just basically I’m flexible. Texting, I’ll go with it just as long as it’s consistent.

and it's like you said, a voice can reveal if there is any emotional connection. I'm with you, I can't fall in love with words on a screen, read by a practically robotic voice. lol. that was a terrific poll type question.
