Be sure to go into Settings and Siri and get yourself on the Siri waitlist. If you wanna try out the new Siri. I did that and within about 15 minutes I had it. It shows up on your home screen as well. But yes, that’s the very first thing that I noticed was a little bit of the base being taken out of the screen, reader voice and the way it read stuff. So you and I noticed the same things right at the very beginning. And just like you, I’m an eloquent user as well. I use Alex sometimes, but mostly eloquence read.

@ Gordon o I have the regular 17 so I don't get the new Siri voices. Should I still look at the wait list?

The 3rd Beta barely came out today and so far so good. The first Beta had this thing where u would get notifications but coulnd’t click on them so u had to go to the app itself to interact with them. Thankfully that was fixed with the 2nd Beta. The main reason y I wanted to test I O S 27 was for the new Seri and so far it has been a much needed and improved assistant. Seri is finally useful

I know the question wasn’t for me but yes try out the new Siri, even though u don’t get the new voices u still get the functionality

I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the base being taken out of the screen reader voices. But dictation does seem to be a little better with this version. But we will all get used to it like we always do. Lol

To set your Apple account up for the beta you have to go to beta.apple.com. You sign in with your Apple ID and the lobby right there. Once you get your account enrolled in the beta, you go to settings on your iPhone general, software updates and turn on the beta and then it’ll come to you.
