Here's an article on what you can use the action button for as it has many uses. https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/use-and-customize-the-action-button-iphe89d61d66/ios In regards to Face ID, • Open Settings: Face ID & Passcode: Double Tap on Face ID & Passcode and enter your device passcode. • Get Started: Tap Set Up Face ID, then select Get Started. • Voiceover will tell you to position Your Face: Hold your phone 10 to 20 inches away from your face, place your face inside the frame, and slowly move or rotate your head in a circle as prompted. • Complete Setup: Tap Done once the scans finish. So I'm new to the IPhone. I have my woman's X IPhone11. I got it because I wanted, with the help of some friends, to develop my Android apps for the IWorld. Now, a question for those that know more about it: My Android devices, after I unlock them, go directly to the home screen after they register my fingerprint or face. I don't usually use face unlock, I more use fingerprint sensors because I only have high-end devices and therefor ultrasonic fingerprint sensors which are very relyable.

So for my Android devices, there is, for face unlock, an option that comes uncheck by default called: "Slide up after unlock to dismiss lock screen". And this is my issue with the IPhone: I press the power button, it registers my face, but it doesn't dismiss the lock screen automatically after it's registered my face. Can I make it do that?

Mine absolutely never prompts me for the Apple password if I'm not doing something specific that might require it, like maybe purchasing something in the App Store. It does ask me weekly or so for my passcode.
