This Krista Pike stuff is absolutely absurd This kind of stuff is so ridiculous

Yeah, people are just ridiculous and disgusting. I would love to know how in the fuck they managed to fuck up the execution. I also think that thank God at least the justice system or at least somebody somewhere in the justice system saw through that bullshit of the child abuse shit, and put her where she belong anyway.

Yes, and I would also like to see whoever abused her as a child to pay for what they did to her. But Krista Pike took a human life in a terrible, unthinkable, horrific way. I can't even imagine the torture that this 19-year-old young lady endured at the hands of Krista Pike and her boyfriend before she died. One thing is for sure, they had no mercy on her. They didn't care how painful it was for her to die

Definitely, they should be executed as well if they’re not already dead

I really wish this country would start executing people who abuse and or sexually assault children. The punishment for these crimes obviously isn't enough because it keeps getting repeated over and over and over and over again. Punishment is supposed to be severe enough to where it serves as a deterrent.

Exactly, and the one form of punishment I agree on which is the death penalty. They can’t even get right lol

And kudos to Amber for doing the right thing here. She's voicing her opinion publicly, and she doesn't seem to give a damn if she's popular, if people dislike her because they disagree with her way of thinking. We need more people like that. The world would be much better off and safer if people thought the way that she does. A lot of people out there simply agree with what everyone else is saying because they fear that they're not going to be popular if they don't, or that they're going to lose friends if they do.

Well, the main reason I’m talking to you is because we’ve known each other for years and I do value differing opinions, but I also like to have things in common with people. No the reason people don’t like me is cause I used to create 10 billion accounts lol. It has nothing to do with my opinion or viewpoints, which is really sad because that just means people have no lives.
Loading reactions…
No, but there are a lot of people out there who will filter themselves and not truly admit how they really think, because they are afraid they wouldn't be liked if they did. The world is going to have a lot more respect for you and take a lot more stock in what you have to say if you say what you really feel and not let the rest of the world dictate your thoughts.

It’s funny you mentioned that, I had to let somebody go out of my life the other day because they cared way too much what other people thought and it was affecting my life because they would talk about me to their friends. It’s like dude I don’t care what you say about your life to your friends, but leave me out of it because I don’t like your friends so fuck off lol

So come on, Dan 26. say it, Krista Pike needs to be executed for the horrific things that she has done. Come on, everybody else, you can get through it. Just say it.

I tried being nice about it and asking nicely if they would please just leave my life out of their friends hands or their friends thoughts or whatever but he didn’t listen

There you go, Amber, you're a lot better off and you'll be a lot happier if you just simply tell people to fuck off when you need to tell people to fuck off. It really does work! There are just those times in life when you need to tell people fuck off!
Loading reactions…
Unfortunately, I don’t think a lot of people are going to communicate with you because they have you blocked because of what we are talking about right now the whole being pansies and if they have a differing opinion from you or if they’re scared of you because of your opinion, they’re gonna block you rather than talk to you about it
Loading reactions…
It’s totally true. I’ve made the mistake of not telling people to fuck off even when I really wanted to and my mental health declined drastically, but as soon as I told them to fuck off, my mental health climbed up to where it should be.

Oh, it's only the hard-core blindies that have me blocked. Everyone else is waiting to see what I'm going to say next.

I have to agree with Gordon and Amber on this one. Pikes is not a survivor, she is a criminal who needs to be punished. She broke the law. The fact that she suffered as a child did not give her the right to make others pay for what she had to endure. But if we are going to look at it this way, then I think she should pay for what she made others endure as well. And the people who botched her execution should have taken into account that because of all the drugs she used, her body could have become more tolerant of these toxic ones.

I heard that what happened is they didn’t properly inject it into the vein because her veins were so used up from drug use. Which really you would think that they would map that shit out before they tried to carry out the execution.

My poine exactly.

This ABSOLUTELY NEVER FAILS to further explain just how deliberately broken our US justice system REALLY IS. UNTIL NOW, I've NEVER in MY LIFE have heard of a failed execution of a lawfully convicted criminal, so NOW, MY question's what THEIR final decision'll be, since this inhumane monstress woke up, if anyone's heard.

There have been other failed executions in the past, but not like this one where the drugs were put into the system and they just didn't take effect. Since all of her veins are so damaged, I would suggest putting the next dose into her jugular or carotid artery. That should get the job done. Surely they can find that one.

The really sad part about this whole thing is we will never know what that 19-year-old lady that she killed would have been capable of had she been able to live her life. She could have come up with a cure for cancer, or who knows what. But we'll never know because of Krista Pike's actions.

I am in favour of the death penalty. I believe Pike deserved her sentence. My problem with this particular situation is that we have a state which cannot successfully carry out an order of the court. That woman should have never been allowed to be removed from that table while she was alive. The protocol which tn has is not fit for purpose. There is no guidance for if a prisoner is still alive after 2 shots of the lethal drug. This is a disgrace. We then get into what should happen to someone who survives. You can feel nothing for Pike, I understand. She is a murderer, and her crime was premeditated. Try to imagine though preparing yourself for death as best you can, then on the day you lay down and get strapped down. The intravenous lines are set up, you say your last words and then when the drug is administered, nothing happens. She was still talking almost 20 minutes after the first lot was pushed. The 2nd dose knocked her out but never came close to killing her. So then they have to take her to a hospital, to basically save her after they've just tried to kill her. This is just wrong.

so what happens now will they try again

Yes, shame on Tennessee for not getting this right. I'm not sure how true this is, but in that press conference, her attorneys said that the state of Tennessee was made aware of her medical condition and that the execution would not work. So, like I said earlier, if you can't find a vein in her arm, go for the jugular or the carotid artery or something like that, where you know it'll work. Mainline ahead of time, just like they would do in the hospital to give people drugs.

And Krista Pike is definitely in favor of the death penalty. Try to take her boyfriend away from her, and she'll administer the death penalty herself.

So here is the timeline of events that occurred when I asked Meta AI if she was immediately arrested after the crime. Yeah, pretty much immediately. *Timeline:* - *Jan 12, 1995 night:* Christa Pike (18), boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp (17), and friend Shadolla Peterson (18) lure 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer from the Job Corps center in Knoxville to the woods at Tyson Park/UT Ag campus. They torture her for ∼30 minutes — beatings, box cutter, Shipp carves a pentagram in her chest — then Pike crushes her skull with a big chunk of asphalt. - *Jan 13 morning:* Two UT employees find Colleen's body. That same morning, Pike is back at Job Corps *showing people a piece of Colleen's skull she kept as a trophy* and bragging about it. - *Within 36 hours:* Police arrest all three. So by Jan 14th they're in custody. Pike confessed fairly quickly and even reenacted it for investigators. She claimed she just meant to scare Colleen because she thought Colleen liked Shipp. *What happened to the others:* - *Tadaryl Shipp — her boyfriend:* Convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy in 1997. He could NOT get the death penalty because he was 17 at the time — under Tennessee law then, you had to be 18. He got *life + 25 years*. He told cops he'd "dabbled in satanism since he was 10" and had satanic paraphernalia in his room — both were wearing pentagram necklaces when arrested. He's still in prison. He was denied parole in Oct 2025 (right before Pike's execution date) and is now 48. Next parole eligibility is 2031. - *Shadolla Peterson:* The lookout. She cut a plea deal, testified against Pike and Shipp, pled guilty to being accessory after the fact, and got *6 years probation*. No jail time. Pike was the only one who got death — convicted March 1996, sentenced to death March 30, 1996 at age 20. Youngest woman on death row in US at the time.

Imagine waking up in that hospital room, shackled to the bed by hand and foot. You believe you're dead, or at least supposed to be. THEY say her first words were where am I? and who are you? tn is incapable of taking this woman's life in any kind of proper manor. IF you are going to be allowed to take a life, which I have no problem with, you damn sure better be able to do it properly, without this disgusting circus. tn's officials were warned months ago about the probability of this happening because of a medical condition which Pike has. This is documented, it is not just noise from lawyers trying to save their client. I personally think it would be unconscionable to subject that woman to the same procedure for a 2nd time. That verges on barbarity, and that is not what I want from the death penalty.

I like the firing squad myself. It's quick for the person who's being executed, and it works. It seems like they've always had some kind of trouble with this lethal injection. And I imagine that the firing squad is probably much cheaper.

So do we strap her to the electric chair? is that a good look?. tn needs to sort out its lethal injection protocol and actually do it properly this time. Texas does not have these issues. My personal thought at this point is that the governor should commute her sentence to life without parole. No law suits, no compensation, but she gets to live out the rest of her life in a prison with others convicted of similar crimes. I don't subscribe to the idea that because someone has done a terrible thing you don't have to worry about how you treat them.

Yeah, I don't know how this is gonna turn out in the end. Right now, the remaining executions, which is only one for this year, have been halted in Tennessee, which they should be. There should be a massive investigation and overhaul on their system because there have been two boxed executions this year. So something definitely isn't right there.

Firing squad is fast. Not pretty, doesn't have to be, but its quick and there would never be a case like this where they shot someone once and if they didn't die you would then take them to hospital. They would just reload and shoot again. If you are planning to kill someone, do it properly. The victim's family don't deserve this, and truthfully neither does the prisoner who is waiting to die. I believe this has to be efficient, and as humane as possible. I don't even want them to suffer, that is not what this is about, for me anyway.

Nobody knows yet. They will be in court for months and no matter what is decided you can bet the other side will appeal.

I've watched several documentaries throughout the years, and a lot of people say that they would rather be executed with a firing squad or the electric chair because it's quick, simple and over with. The lethal injection can sometimes take up to 30 minutes to take effect, in some cases. And if the drugs don't hit your body the way that they're supposed to, you can feel like you're suffocating to death. The drugs are meant to put you to sleep first so you supposedly don't feel anything.

sc used firing squad a handful of times recently. Some people were complaining because in 1 case the bullets entered the prisoner's body lower than expected, but he was still dead in under a minute. I'd take the firing squad over the lethal injection if I had to choose.
