Ah yes, I had forgotten the term "malingering." I learned that during preparation for a high school speech. My Dad was an actual counselor and read to me from the DSM III, saying it would stand me well to have that as a reference for a high school speech. I do seem to recall the teacher appreciating that tidbit. But I also seem to recall replaying the tape portion where my Dad said "malingering," going, "What sort of a word is that?!" lol. Me as a teenager, circa 1984.
