I actually interviewed joy bubbles about two months before he died.  he surprised the hell out of me one day when he reached out and told me that he loved my show and that he wanted to interview with me because he had a lot of information that he wanted to share with the public. So him and I did about a 2 1/2 hour interview.

I still have the interview that I did with him, but it's very embarrassing.  we did this interview back in 2007 and I had someone write me a hot key script that would turn my mic on and off. Well, the script failed and did not work and I had some major serious allergies that day. So when I thought my mic was off, it was not. And I was sneezing and making all kinds of inappropriate noises that one would make suffering from extreme allergies throughout the whole interview. And he never said anything, so I thought that the Mike script was working until I uploaded the finished product.

I was absolutely shocked and blown away when Joey bubbles came to me and said that he was a faithful listener to my show. I would listen to his stories and stuff that he would do so I never thought that he would enjoy a raw unfiltered show like I was doing at the time. When he came to me he said that he had chosen me to do any remaining interviews that he would ever do in life because other people were wanting to interview with him but then they would get him on the phone and start making fun of him and different things like that. We had planned to do another interview when I wasn't dealing with allergies, but unfortunately he didn't make it to that interview. But he did tell me when we were doing our preshow planning that he knew his time was limited, but he never got into specifics or told me how limited he thought it might be. He just wanted to do some interviews one last time basically is what he told me.

At Gordon, I remember you’re having mentioned that you had interviewed him in the past, but that there was a problem with the Recording. I wonder with AI and technology being the way it is today whether or not you could recover the interview at least to a state where it would be audible. You should consider giving it a try.

Yes, a lot of of that stuff could probably be added out pretty clean these days. That's something I'm definitely interested in because that is a priceless interview and it was his last. I didn't realize until he was gone just what a legend he actually really was. When I was talking to him during the preshow meeting we had and the interview he just came across is just a regular guy. I had no clue at the time just how well known he was.

In addition to having my presentation talk about Joy bubbles it will also be discussing his blind friend Dennis Teressi, who actually is the father of social engineering even though they usually give this credit to Kevin Mitnick so once I have all the information together, I’ll be able to use this soundscape as part of the soundtrack which I’ll lower while putting the actual dialogue on top of it. Stay tuned.
