James, because you brought this thread up again in my notifications, I'm a little concerned that you haven't taken away the right thing from this experience. You do know that herpes is a lifelong condition right? In future sexual encounters, it will be your responsibility to disclose that, and to make sure that you use protection. Like I can't emphasize that enough. Having herpes doesn't necessarily mean you need to stop having sex, but it does mean you need to be very very honest with anyone you come across. Please tell me that you took at least that away from this entire experience. Because you initially said that the person you had sex with was the one who came into the situation with herpes in the first place. So did you ask her where she got it from? Or is she unaware as well and just going around having encounters with herpes and not really properly understanding how important it is that she And you and anyone else that she may have been with use condoms moving forward. My goodness. Please please stay safe and keep other people safe. 😷
